So I haven't posted in a few days due to being extremely busy. I have been making puppy clothes for my friend Mandy's poor dog Reno. He had surgery and one side of him is bald from being shaved. He was just a bit chilly missing his furry coat. In the process we thought he needed a new bed which I am just finishing.
Colin is putting a table together in the basement for me to use my mini torch since it is too cold to hang out in the garage right now. Hopefully I will be up and running with that by tonight. :)
My supplies have come and I thought I might show a few of the new items I've made so far. Not much but its a start. The earrings on the left are all different Gemstones, well except for one. From left to right they are Pink Rhodonite, pearls, turquoise, and African jade ($13 each). The necklace shown on the right is Peridot chips with a sterling and Peridot setting.
I did not post these on etsy, let me know if you are interested and I will.
The best item of all came and that's my snazzy new earring stand. It spins! Even Colin was impressed. He told me he thinks I can do this again. I know I can but those words always help pump me up. He also said I need to not only have enough items for my show but just as much to set aside and refill my trays and stands when things do sell. I never thought he would be the one to tell me I need to order more items but I am already running low on clasps and my earring stand still has some barren spots. So there may be another (small) order again. I love getting things like that in the mail that aren't bills. :) Thanks Babe!
Happy Birthday Kelsey!!!

Buttons Galore
So here is a posting of my button bracelets. I spent hours this morning dividing buttons of similar sizes and colors up. I have decided I have way too many buttons yet not enough of the colors I want. Oh well that makes each of these beauty's totally unique in every possible way. I have listed this one on etsy so it may not last long.

Spending Money to Make Money...
Isn't that how it always goes. I have finally gotten some input on my outline of items for sale. Thanks Kelsey! I have a huge list of things I need so I can have a more rounded selection. Now I just need my awesome husband to ok me spending a chunk of his really hard earned money. If I can show him how I plan on putting everything together he will work with me. Like I said awesome! I got really lucky in so many ways, but today his support takes the top.
In the next few weeks I will post some of my newly made items to check out since etsy is only getting a small fraction of them. We (Kelsey aka my now advisor and myself) have also decided to have/host a house jewelry party to test out my stock once I have more made. My 40 crossweave bracelets just won't cut it yet. This next week I am making earrings and African Net necklaces/bracelets. Keep tuned.

Mundane....that's all there is to it.
Well I haven't been off to a very good start with this. The flu has not helped and I have needed all my energy to clean the house since we have company coming this weekend. Yeah!!
I finally got out today and had a coffee/tea break with a friend. Not much else is going on except Colin leaves for a "staff meeting" in Vegas tomorrow to see all his work buddies from the Phoenix job. Nice that work is paying for it. Everyone needs jobs like that :)
The yard still looks about the same with an extra dusting of snow yesterday. I can't wait until spring when things are green. Sorry this is so boring....it seems to be an extension of the week.

Frosty Delight
Well so much for being focused today. I have only made 2 bracelets because my brain wont shut off with other ideas. At least I have mastered not working on 10 different projects this time. My house is much to small to function and work on that many items. No big deal since according to my schedule Friday is a free day for creating.
It is beautiful here right now, for the last few days it has been like living in a cloud and the tall trees are reflecting that. They are covered in beautiful frost (not as pretty as Kansas trees covered in ice) but pretty none the less.
Here are a few pictures of the trees close to our house and one of the poor bush in the back yard that doesn't look like it is recovering that well. Gunther is happy though that he can play outside again.

Hello! Keeping My Focus
I decided to take a break from my schedule of creating jewelry etc. today and finally set up this blog. Since I am new to this I still need to tweek quite a few things and test the water.
Either way I am in the process of trying to work at home since we keep moving. I stayed up all night Monday and spent the time to write out my business plan and a schedule. My husband has been very supportive of my trying this, hopefully I can succeed. My biggest obstacle is myself and staying focused upon what I am working on. I always get other ideas and stray from my intended goal. To a new year and a new focused Kerrie!
