Absentee

Sorry I skipped out on Photo Friday and Weekly Money Checkup. We were on vacation! But sadly we are back home. :( My poor husband left before 6:30 this morning because he couldn't sleep knowing he had lots to catch up on at work.

So here is the rundown. We visited a salt mine museum 650 feet below the surface of the earth. Super cool and interesting. We got to see my husbands family, see our new nephew, and play with the other one. That little rascal has too much energy! We also left early enough so we could stop and be tourists on the way home. We stopped and looked at antiques and had lunch with some friends. It was a nice trip and we are sad it is over. :(

So I am doing laundry, trying to clean and am in the mood to de-clutter. I also need to get a few orders that I got for purity bracelets made and sent out. I am planning on going and getting a load of dirt to start filling my garden beds if I can. If not I will start tomorrow, I have a LOT of work to get done this week.

I have a feeling that I wont see much of my husband as he most likely will stay late at work. And next week he will be gone all week for training in Kansas City. I am hoping I can get his garage all organized while he is gone as a surprise. Hope you had a wonderful last few days!

Chirp Chirp

I woke up to singing birds this morning! I can't wait until Spring is actually here. We will be doing very little yard work this weekend as my husband has to work Saturday morning. Lucky him, NOT! The one good thing is that he has a meeting an hour north of where we live and very close to my parents. We haven't been up there in about 2 months so we get a free trip! Mileage paid by my husbands company!

Yea to resting our bodies from digging and building. I think my mom will be happy to see us as my dad has been working 80-90 hours the last 3 weeks and I think she is lonely.

I am excited to get out of the house. It will be really nice to get away for a day!

Well I have been absent from my computer for awhile but it was worth it! I spent the last week enjoying friends and family all over. Colin had a few hiccups and joined me a few days late due to snow in Denver (they canceled his flight twice, poor guy).

I did a little creating early on in the week, making centerpieces and name cards for my best friends wedding reception. I also got to enjoy lots of wedding cake as Aunt Liz used us as ginny pigs while she was creating its beauty. Once Colin finally made it to the airport we headed to see his family and it was so nice. Sadly we missed a few faces because we were over a day late, I am so glad we got to see who we did though.

Our dog had a babysitter for the last week so we wouldn't have another fiasco with him freaking out getting boarded. He even gained weight while we were gone :) Gunther is always a stress point for me when we travel without him, now I don't need to worry. I love our dog but us moving so often has definitely caused some issues with the poor little guy (not including his wheat allergy). We had been talking about getting another dog last June but realized how often we are away and that we couldn't. Colin thinks Gunther would be better off if he had a friend and we wont be traveling at all for the next few months so I am going to start watching the shelters. Funny how Colin said that, normally it is me.

We got lucky and had a 4+ hour layover in Denver last night so my parents drove down and we also got to see them. A nice ending to a great week! And a bonus that I got an early birthday present. :) It was the best layover we have ever had.

I have a list of orders for some people I love in Colorado and a wedding party of five that I need to get sent out shortly. I should be sharing new photos later this week. Enjoy!
